Did you know the "cords" part of Cords and Keys stands for vocal cords? We love singing at our studio! Being able to use your voice can not only be exciting and rewarding, but it can also be healing; being able to sing words that reflect our own emotions or to tell a story. Unlike other instruments, your voice is the only one of its kind. Our vocal coaches are here to nurture your voice and your confidence so you can shine in any occasion.
The human voice can be so versatile and lend itself to many different styles of music. Opera, musical theatre, and pop are not that different from each other. To sing any of them well, you have to have a strong foundation in the principles of singing healthily.
The human voice changes overtime as hormones can affect the length and thickness of the vocal cords. It is the length and thickness of the cords that determine vocal range (tenor vs. bass) and the overall agility of the voice. Lessons for children can be an excellent way to build confidence and gain knowledge and appreciation for different music. Conclusions pertaining to vocal range would not even be considered till late teenage years at the earliest in most cases.
